WHAT WE LOVE...

This hotel has the best location on the island; situated right on the seafront at sandy Braye Beach with the harbour just a five-minute stroll away, from where you can get boat trips to spot puffins and gannets off the coast. Seaview rooms with Juliet balconies are the best rooms in the house, but even the smaller rooms that look over the road at the back will have a decanter of complimentary sherry for you to enjoy and robes and slippers to pad about in. The food in the brasserie is well-respected and includes plenty of lobster and crab plucked from the bay, while there's also a cheerful beach bar for morning coffees and afternoon teas and an atmospheric ground-floor steakhouse and cocktail bar.

THE DETAILS

Location

Braye Beach is the best beach on the island and you can hop back and forth several times a day from this hotel.

Braye is in the north of the island and due to its compact size, you'll easily get around. If you can prise yourself away from the beach, visit St Anne, with its cobbled streets and shops.
By plane: direct flights are only from Southampton and take 40 minutes. Indirect regional flights go via Guernsey. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the airport. skyscanner.net
