Perfectly positioned picnic benches at the front of the pub offer a fitting perch to idly people-watch the village life beyond. There is one dog friendly room available where you will find a blanket and bowl. Dogs are welcome to join you in the bar area, as well as in one half of the restaurant, and will be spoilt by friendliest staff with lots of fuss and treats.

Dog-friendly Room 1 provided a quiet, light-filled space to hunker down with our four-legged friend after a day of exploring the surrounding countryside. King-size beds, digital showers and heated mirrors add a luxe vibe to the cosiest bedrooms in the Cornish countryside.

The artfully-styled plates won us over; head chef James Lean's creative dishes add an exciting twist to the variety of local seafood and game. Fresh produce doesn't get much better than the shell-on prawns, followed by pan-fried hake and crushed potatoes, and for something sweet, don't deny yourself the sticky toffee pudding.
Bar & Restaurant: modern British cusine, seasonal produce. Mains include rabbit wellington, roasted quail and fish and chips. Open Tue-Sun from midday.
