Experience a chic Cornish bolthole with echoes of the Mediterranean - once you've settled into this dreamy coastal retreat, you could be forgiven for thinking you've been transported overseas. Set within leafy grounds on the edge of St Ives, Boskerris is a thoughtfully renovated 1930s hotel which makes the most of its clifftop setting, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing amazing views across St Ives Bay and to Godrevy lighthouse. The striking decked terrace has stunning ocean views too, with the promise of Carbis Bay below. This is an idyllic setting to unwind and enjoy Mediterranean-inspired cuisine on the South coast of Cornwall.

A trip to St Ives wouldn't be complete without visiting the celebrated Tate gallery, as well as the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Gardens.
Just a short walk from the beach at Carbis Bay (400 yards away) the hotel is in an ideal base for exploring everything St Ives has to offer. Pubs, cafés and restaurants are all within walking distance.
By car: the hotel is 5 hours 20 mins from London, 4 hours 20 mins from Swansea, and 5 hours 15 mins from Nottingham. There is free parking on-site.

Intimate dining in the small but perfectly styled dining room, with ocean views, is hard to beat. The simply dressed Newlyn crab, followed by the catch of the day served with a Mediterranean-style salad, is a win-win combo, delivering a true taste of the Cornish coast.
The restaurant: informal dining, light bites, snacks, European cuisine. Open Tuesday-Saturday for dinner. Sandwiches and cream teas served every day. Larger plates from £11.50.
