Located on a hill and surrounded by mature gardens, The Alverton is just 10 minutes' walk from Truro city centre.
By car: Exeter (1 hour 35 minutes), St Austell (30 minutes). There's free parking at the hotel and a charging port for electric cars.
By boat: Five-minute walk to Fal River Ferry to Falmouth, Trelissick and St Mawes.
By train: Truro station is a 10-minute drive or 25-minute walk away, with trains to Plymouth, Penzance, London Paddington and Falmouth.

Our favourites are any of the three double bedrooms with large bay windows, which usher the Cathedral right into your room. The four-poster bed, bespoke furnishings, decadent chandeliers and monsoon-shower create a luxurious space that's hard to leave.
