WHAT WE LOVE...

A Grade II-listed Georgian manor house, Lympstone Manor has undergone extensive renovation and redevelopment under Michelin-starred chef, Michael Caines, who has painstakingly restored the historic building to its former glory - period features have been fused with contemporary elements and modern conveniences, creating the ultimate luxurious stay. The country house hotel is set in 28-acres of stunning grounds, including a vineyard and The Lady's walk, and overlooks the biodiverse Exe estuary. The bedrooms and suites offer unrivalled panoramic views of the grounds, which are also home to six luxury shepherds huts nestled in the woodland, ideal for hunkering down and enjoying the beauty of this tranquil spot.

Style & Character

The manor is suited to couples looking for a romantic escape in opulent surroundings, as well as anyone after a luxurious occasion retreat. It is a joy to wander the grounds, and marvel at the unique sculptures, which create shapes across the estuary backdrop.

Service & Facilities

The croquet lawn, positioned just beyond the vineyard, is a dreamy spot to play the classic summer game! The main house has two dog-friendly rooms, and all of the Shepherd's Huts welcome dogs to stay, with a bed, water bowls, and towel. There are lots of great walks along the estuary and on the South West Coast Path, with Dartmoor and Exmoor also in easy reach.

Rooms

We love Tern - a Grand Estuary Suite with south-facing views, a private terrace with an alfresco bath and lanterns. Shepherd's Huts offer the most beautiful (and incredibly luxurious) stay. Designed for hunkering down in winter months, and lounging on the decking throughout summer.

Classic, Deluxe, Deluxe Estuary View rooms, Junior, Master, Grand Estuary, Superior Estuary suites, Shepherd's Huts
Facilities include: ensuite bathroom with Lympstone Manor toiletries, gin tray, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities

Food & Drink

We love the Scottish langoustine with roasted leak and truffle cream, followed by salted Newlyn cod, with lemon puree, Lyme Bay crab samphire and chorizo. For mind-blowing plates that are artfully presented, make sure you sample the signature eight-course tasting-menu, with its impeccably paired wine flight.

The restaurant: one Michelin star. Formal fine dining, a choice of dining rooms, modern British cuisine. Open for lunch Wed-Sun and dinner daily. Tasting menu from £150.
