WHAT WE LOVE...

This elegant, four-storey hotel enjoys a privileged Left Bank location between the River Seine and boulevard Saint-Germain. It is one of five privately-owned properties in the heart of the capital belonging to the French B Signature Collection. A mild literary theming is apparent in the name (from a novel by Guy de Maupassant) and in the liberal use of art, fashion and travel books to dress the lobby, lounges and breakfast room. A small spa and the tranquil Café Bel Ami offering drinks and light meals add to the appeal of a five star boutique property that goes down well with international leisure travellers. Most stay three or four nights, appreciating the uniformed staff, civilised ambience and quality buffet breakfast.
