WHAT WE LOVE...
This large, modern resort set on five levels on the rocks sits in a secluded spot above a private cove and sandy beach with irresistible, shallow turquoise waters. It boasts lovely views and a host of features including a choice of six dining options and bars, a large spa, a gym and a range of water sports options. It is equally attractive to both couples and families alike, especially as there is a good kids' club on site. Most guest rooms have a private pool and are very comfortable although rather plain, however public areas are generally cool and minimalist. The restaurants, bars and boutiques of Agios Nicolaos and Elounda are nearby.

Location
The resort is on the northeast side of Crete, situated around an attractive cove with a lovely sandy beach.
If you can prise yourself away from the private beach, visit the charming town of Agios Nikolaos or village of Elounda.

Rooms
Our villa had a bedroom and spacious cream marble bathroom downstairs, with a lounge area, small desk and second bathroom upstairs. With two balconies, a terrace with loungers, a table and seating and a small pool, there were lovely views of the beach and cove.

We enjoyed having such a great choice of cuisines. The starter of mackerel with black-eye beans, lemon sauce and herb chilli oil is ideal for a light healthy lunch at The Taverna.

The Ocean Restaurant: Mediterranean cuisine, all-day dining. Mains from €34.
The Beach House: cove restaurant, Mediterranean cuisine, seasonal produce. Open 9am-11pm.
