As we came by train, we were delighted the station was so near.
Galway city centre isn't too far away on foot, or see the beautiful sights of Connemara, including the National Park.
By plane: flights from Birmingham and Edinburgh take 1 hour 15 minutes, and 1 hour 30 minutes from London to Shannon. It's an hour's drive to the hotel. On-site parking costs €10 per day. skyscanner.net

The close position to Galway city centre makes the hotel ideal for anyone wanting to explore the area - from solo travellers to families and couples. The view of the neighbouring lough is where the real beauty lies in this contemporary hotel.

The Deluxe Sea View rooms boast beautiful vistas over Lough Atalia. The Bewley's tea and coffee in the room went down well - it's always nice to see hotels support local producers.

The afternoon tea was tasty and the views over Lough Atalia added to the enjoyment. The light lunch offerings at Coopers are broad - we loved the Galway goats cheese salad with sunflower seeds, baby spinach, carrots and dressing.
