WHAT WE LOVE...

Set in the folds of the Kent Downs on the banks of the Great Stour river, Wye is often considered the ultimate tranquil country village. Here, amongst the medieval cottages, bakery and barber, you'll find unpretentious fine dining in former Claridge's chef Mark Sargeant's sophisticated restaurant with rooms, the Wife of Bath. Initially launched as a Spanish restaurant and tapas bar in 2017, the culinary focus is now modern British with European influences, with posh pub-style snacks served at the tiny bar. The six characterful bedrooms, which include a delightful two-bedroom cottage, marry period features with mid-century furniture and contemporary art, creating an indulgent yet comfortable getaway.
