WHAT WE LOVE...

Opened in 2012, this luxurious garden resort is only ten minutes' drive from Marrakech's intense and colourful medina, so a good pick if you like to make adventurous forays into the heat and dust then retire to a five star, flower-filled sanctuary with a tip-top spa and fine dining. The 139 rooms and 27 suites are immaculately furnished on a contemporary Moroccan theme and come with relaxing patios or terraces looking out to palms, olive trees and three heated pools. Add in the high service standards and child-friendliness that are a hallmark of Four Seasons properties and this is one of the best ways for couples or families to see the Ochre City in a secure and comfortable style.

Style & Character

Travellers who like a luxurious base, spa-lovers, families and devotees of the Four Seasons brand will love it here. The Palais des Congrès is within walking distance so business travellers also check in. The resort was sold out when we visited but you'd never know it thanks to the spacious, well-kept grounds filled with palms, olive trees and roses.

Service & Facilities

The large Maarifa Boutique stocks carefully-selected Moroccan crafts, homewares, jewellery and clothing and is a good place to get some shopping ideas.

Azzera: poolside restaurant, international cuisine. All-day dining, open daily.
