WHAT WE LOVE...
Located in a former bank among the Modernista facades of the centrally-located Passeig de Gràcia, this is one of Barcelona's most luxurious hotels. It has amenities that are all of the highest quality, including a beautiful spa and lap pool, a gym with top-of-the range equipment, a rooftop dipping pool with some of the best views in the city, and several swish bars and restaurants - including one serving the best Catalan cuisine and boasting two Michelin stars. Guest rooms are of the same very high quality, sleekly realised by a local celebrated designer and with features you'd expect from a high-end brand like Mandarin Oriental, such as huge flat-screen TVs, ultra comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms with walk-in rain showers and freestanding baths.

We love that the hotel is right in the heart of Barcelona but still far enough away from the tourist crowds at El Born and the Gothic Quarter.
The city's Museum of Contemporary Art is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
