WHAT WE LOVE...

It's no coincidence that this hotel is surrounded by apple orchards: it was founded twenty years ago by the Copella apple juice dynasty and is still run by the second generation of the family. Stoke by Nayland is a resort hotel, centred on two championship golf courses and situated in a gorgeous rural location. The hotel buildings really let the countryside in, with large terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows. Guest rooms are very spacious and comfy, with a slightly retro feel, and the public spaces have been updated with style. Besides the golf, facilities include a pool, spa, gym, squash courts and more.

Style & Character

Obviously golfers will love it, but it's also a lovely rural base for anyone wanting to explore this part of Suffolk, in particular Constable Country and Dedham Vale. The hotel is a deliberately eco-friendly place to stay, with a biomass boiler, solar panels and other gadgetry, making it entirely energy-self-sufficient.
