WHAT WE LOVE...

The two towers which loom over Paradise Beach in the south of Tenerife are named after, predictably enough, Nirvana and Oasis. They feel like a defiant V sign to the rest of the hotels in the area. It's not wall-to-wall rock, however. The official opening party on Saturday 10th December 2016 was a Children of the 80s event. There were musical performances from the likes of Blackbox, C+C Music Factory, Rozalla, and Village People. Still, the memorabilia on show is very much a history of rock. So you can see a one-year booking contract which David Bowie signed while Ziggy Stardust back in 1972. Then there's the suit jacket Meat Loaf wore on stage during a 1995 tour.
