WHAT WE LOVE...

This small hotel in the Wiltshire market town of Devizes has 16 comfortable rooms, but it really prides itself on its award-winning restaurant and wine bar. The Peppermill overlooks the market square which comes to life on a Thursday when it hosts the farmers' market. The town centre is attractive, with an impressive collection of Georgian and Victorian buildings. The Kennet and Avon Canal runs through Devizes and out into attractive countryside, where you can enjoy memorable waterside walks. Alternatively, you could hire a canal boat for a relaxing day on the water. Devizes is within easy reach of many of Wiltshire's top attractions including Stonehenge, Avebury Rings and the fabulous walks and cycle paths of the Pewsey Vale.
