Esteemed historian Lucy Worsley will join you on this unique tour as you delve into the life of Jane Austen
Spend three days exploring the beautiful city of Bath - once the
home of Jane Austen and the inspiration behind many of her novels,
including Persuasion and Northanger Abbey.
Learn more about the Georgian city and the coveted author on a
guided tour with local expert Jane Tapley, as you visit the
Assembly Rooms**, No. 1 Royal Crescent and the Theatre Royal. The
grand architecture will bring Jane Austen's Bath to life and you'll
get a deeper understanding of the locations which inspired her
works.
On the final day, you'll enjoy a morning visit to Castle Combe -
said to be the prettiest village in the Cotswolds - and Lacock,
which was used as a location for the TV adaptation of Pride and
Prejudice and the 1996 film Emma. Here, you'll visit Lacock Abbey,
where you can explore the grounds and museum.
You'll be staying in a country house hotel for two nights and
special guest Lucy Worsley will join you for welcome drinks and a
delightful evening of conversation, where she'll offer even more
insight into the life and times of Jane Austen. The esteemed
historian will go on to host a Q&A session afterward. You'll
enjoy a three-course dinner with wine in the company of other Jane
Austen enthusiasts on both evenings of the tour.
