Steam through the Highlands on the famous Jacobite Train on this exclusive break with our favourite Scottish weather presenter, Carol Kirkwood

Chugging along on a steam train is a beautifully nostalgic way to travel. And there's nowhere more magical for a railway journey than the stunning Scottish Highlands.

Here you'll be able to soak in all the beauty that the Highlands have to offer as you puff past mighty mountains, tranquil lochs and mysterious castles.

On this four-day trip you'll travel through Scotland while learning about life in the region from weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, who grew up in Morar. You'll ride on board The Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig, on one of the longest steam-hauled rail journeys available in Britain today, an 84-mile round trip through some spectacular scenery.

It should come as no surprise that The Fort William to Mallaig railway line is frequently voted one of the world's greatest railway journeys!

You'll also enjoy two relaxed and informative cruises amid beautiful landscapes, one on the calm waters of Loch Katrine in the Trossachs and the other on nearby Loch Lomond.

You'll be staying at the historic Winnock Hotel in the village of Drymen in the Trossachs, which has been welcoming weary travellers since the 1700s, and now offers modern comfort along with traditional features, like log fires to curl up next to after a long day exploring the Highlands.
